Action Fair Day!

Here are some photos of getting ready for our Action Fair! The students were really excited and plenty of parents came to help them set-out their stands, and even bought some products before they got started. A huge thanks to the workers and security guards at our school who helped us organise everything we needed!

Busy before the Action Fair!

Everyone is getting excited and busy before the Action Fair tomorrow!

Supply and demand, profit and loss - the final step!

Today students did their final surveys to find out how much other students would pay for their products. Using this information and the cost price for their products, they calculated how much was appropriate to charge for their items.

Problems - global, national, local

Students have been summarising their investigations into short paragraphs in order to be prepared for their final presentations. They have been focussing on the global, national and local problems that they investigated during the inquiry process.

Prototypes and Designs

Students have been bringing a range of prototypes of the products they will be making and selling at the Action Fair. This process has also involved critical reflection because some products have been very expensive to make.

Products and Prices

After getting a good understanding of supply and demand and some critical reflection during their T-shirt design project, students have been thinking VERY CAREFULLY about the design of their products and services or the appropriate pricing.
